Prague is a worthy place to visit. Everyone goes there and no-one complains. What's so good about it though? The food could be better, they're rude to you as soon as you arrive, and the Czechs themselves are scum! Are they? Maybe not, but the views and the buildings build you up to believing you are on holiday in paradise, then you meet some Czech and they just don't live up to it.
Basically, Czechs are a really "normal" people. They are as normal as their architecture is extraordinary. So, basically once you get over the notion of visiting some special race and instead think of them as people that go camping, watch telly, go down the pub, drink beer, have kids, and have no dress sense, then you'll start to click. You hear them speaking Czech when you arrive and think ooohhh they're discussing philosophy, but they're not. They're talking about ham and they are wearing white socks.
So the real them? Czechs are good for drinking with. They're a bit sly, just like you; they normalise you, they make you feel silly for sounding pretentious, which you probably need; and you can generally relate to them. A lot of them have a surreal sense of humour, which I like, and they read a lot. So there's quite a few clever ones.
What about the girls? They're so famous for being gorgeous, beautiful, sexy, everything. They didn't become famous for nothing, and they are really nice. I knew a few when I was there but where are they now? I lost contact with them. Which proves how great they are...who'd respect a girl that stays in contact with me?
